District by the bay
District by the bay
Lockport is a local region within the Metropolis. It is located near the coastline. However, only about 30 percent of Lockport’s area is in fact situated along the coastline. The rest of the area is more inward towards the Metropolis.
Sub-districts
Lockport is divided into three main sub-districts: The Main Port, Old Town, and The Hub.
Dozens of ships come and go everyday within Main Port. Most of these ships are primarily cargo ships. Beside rows of docks and wharf, there are many shipyards and warehouses. The area can a be a bit unsafe at night and local gangs might loiter around here, so watch your step.
Old Town is where most lower middle class to lower class citizens live. As the name suggest, the Old Town is the oldest established part of Lockport. The streets are marginally well paved and the neighborhood is somewhat maintained, though a bit rundown. Tall buildings are rare within this district. Small or family owned businesses thrives here and often supported by local communities. Though somewhat lacking of strong prejudice between races, different ethnicities still form their own tight knit communities within this area. The better part of Old Town also housed various music joints or clubs. Many would be musicians start their career there, though only rare few will reach widespread popularity.
The last one is The Hub. It is the most developed area of Lockport where the wealthy usually lives. This sub-district is well lit and well developed compared to the rest of Lockport. The Hub is the center of Lockport’s trade and big businesses. This place also holds various entertainment and culinary venues, such as theaters, restaurants, coffee and cigar lounges. Casinos, speakeasy establishments and other legally problematic form of entertainments generally cannot be found out in the open within the Hub, unless you have the right connection.
Transportations
Although Lockport is quite vast, you can get around the district using trams or Lockport Metro Subway. They are cheap, but can be crowded during workdays.
{Mystics Information}
There are no significant population of mystics throughout Lockport. However, it didn’t stop for a neutral ground to be established by a handful of influential mystics.
The Soul Society is unassuming lounge located next to Old Town’s Metro Entrance. Ordinary people can only access the front part of the lounge, which looks like a normal music joint. Mystics can access the back room, which is unnaturally wider than the land plot allowed.

{Lockport's Underground}
Beneath Lockport lies several abandoned subway complex. When first constructed, the city had hoped to build a vast but efficient transportation network. However, the planned size turns out to be too costly and inefficient in the long run. In the end, parts of the subway tunnels were closed and abandoned.
Most of these abandoned subway tunnels located a bit far from the operational ones, and usually deeper into the ground. Unbeknownst to many, the deepest abandoned tunnels eventually reached and became intermediary areas into the Spirit Realm.
Some mystics of the Soul Society have been keeping an eye on these intermediary areas guarding them directly or indirectly from threats of Stigmata monsters, while many others are indifferent.
